Description
CO₂ flooding systems extinguish fire by reducing oxygen levels in the protected space. A 45 kg cylinder discharges rapidly through total flooding nozzles.
These systems are suitable for normally unoccupied areas such as electrical vaults, engine rooms, and transformer enclosures. They are governed by NFPA 12 and require pre-discharge alarms and delays for life safety.
Because CO₂ can be lethal at extinguishing concentration, strict signage and lockout procedures are mandatory.
