Landing Valve (Type A, 63mm)

Landing valves are internal hydrant outlets installed on each floor landing in staircases or corridors. They provide a direct connection point for hydrant hoses, enabling firefighting from any floor in a high-rise building.

IS 5290 specifies Type A (single outlet) and Type B (double outlet) landing valves with 63 mm instantaneous couplings. Gunmetal/brass bodies resist corrosion, and oblique or straight patterns allow easy hose connection in narrow cabinets.

Each landing valve is capped to prevent dust ingress, and NBC 2016 requires a valve on every floor landing in buildings above 15 m.
