Linear Heat Detection Cable (LHD)

Linear heat detection (LHD) cable acts as a continuous heat sensor along its entire length. When exposed to fire, the core changes state and signals the panel, providing detection in areas where point detectors are impractical.

It is commonly installed in cable trays, tunnels, conveyor systems, parking ramps, and long industrial spans such as pipe racks or engine bays.

Available in analog (resettable) and digital (single-use) types, LHD provides early warning along long runs with minimal devices.
