Description
Rate-of-rise detectors respond to rapid temperature increases (typically 6–8°C per minute), even if the absolute temperature is still below the fixed threshold. Many models also include a 58°C fixed element for redundancy.
They are well suited to kitchens, boiler rooms, laundries, and plant areas where fast-developing fires may occur.
Proper placement avoids false alarms from sudden hot air drafts or HVAC surges.
