Aluminized Proximity Suit (High Radiant Heat)

Aluminized proximity suits are designed for extreme radiant heat exposure, where normal bunker gear would fail rapidly. The reflective outer layer acts like a mirror, bouncing infrared heat away from the firefighter.

In oil & gas facilities, they are critical for tank farm fires, furnace-side operations, or burning flange leaks where radiant heat—not direct flame contact—is the dominant threat.

These suits are not intended for structural interior firefighting. They are task-specific gear for short-duration operations in high-radiant heat zones.
