Structural Firefighting Suit (Turnout Gear) – 3 Layer Nomex/Kevlar

The structural firefighting suit is the primary survival system for firefighters operating inside enclosed fires, warehouses, and process units. Its job is time-based protection: delaying heat transfer long enough to attack a fire, rescue occupants, or withdraw safely.

Indian industrial incidents commonly involve flashover, steam burns, molten plastic drip, and falling debris. A 3-layer suit is engineered for all of these hazards—outer shell for flame/abrasion, moisture barrier to prevent steam burns, and thermal liner for insulation.

Unlike low-cost fire-resistant jackets, turnout gear is built to maintain integrity under repeated heat exposure and does not melt, drip, or shrink onto the skin. This makes it essential for structural interior firefighting.
