2 kg CO₂ Fire Extinguisher

The 2 kg CO₂ Fire Extinguisher is a portable carbon-dioxide extinguisher intended for suitable flammable-liquid fire risks and electrical-equipment risks where CO₂ is appropriate. CO₂ is a clean extinguishing medium that does not leave the powder residue associated with dry-powder extinguishers. It is not a universal extinguisher: selection must match the materials, electrical conditions and hazards present at the site.

This model is listed with a 21B fire rating, a wheel-type operating valve and an upright operating position. The supplied specifications state a minimum jet length of 2 metres, minimum discharge of 95%, minimum discharge time of 8 seconds, an operating temperature range of -30°C to +60°C, and a test pressure of 250 kgf/cm². The listed standards include IS 15683 for the extinguisher, IS:7285 for the seamless cylinder and IS:15222 for CO₂ gas.

A 2 kg unit may suit locations where a compact extinguisher is appropriate, subject to the site’s fire-risk assessment and required fire rating.
