9 Ltr Water Fire Extinguisher

The 9 Ltr Water Fire Extinguisher is a stored-pressure water extinguisher intended for suitable Class A fires involving ordinary solid combustibles such as paper, wood and textiles. Water-based extinguishers should not be used indiscriminately on burning liquids or energised electrical equipment; the fire class and surrounding hazards must be checked before selection.

The supplied specification lists a 3A fire rating, IS 15683, a +5°C to +60°C operating temperature range, minimum jet length of 2 metres, minimum discharge of 95% and minimum discharge time of 13 seconds. The stated charge pressure is 14 bar and test pressure is 35 bar. The extinguishing medium is water and the listed expellant is dry nitrogen.

A 9-litre water extinguisher may be considered for suitable Class A risks in locations such as offices, stores or other premises where water is appropriate, subject to a site risk assessment.
