Foot Valve with Strainer

A foot valve is a suction-side check valve installed at the tank outlet or at the bottom of the suction pipe. Its strainer prevents debris from entering the pump and its check mechanism holds water in the suction line to maintain prime.

This component is essential in Indian pump rooms where suction lines can drain quickly if not sealed. Regular cleaning of the strainer prevents silt and rust from restricting flow.
